The animal form is divided between retinol and carotene dehydroretinol while the plant it can be very powerful in four groups – alpha-carotene, beta carotene, gamma-carotene and crypto-carotene. With enough beta-carotene in the body, the body can manufacture its own vitamin A.

Vitamin A is required for night vision, and for a healthy skin. Assists the immune system, and due to their antioxidant is great protection against the formation of pollution and cancer and other diseases. It also assists your sense of taste as well as support of the digestive and urinary tract and many believe it helps to slow aging.

Vitamin A is required for night vision, and for a healthy skin. Assists the immune system, and due to their antioxidant is great protection against the formation of pollution and cancer and other diseases. It also assists your sense of taste as well as support of the digestive and urinary tract and many believe it helps to slow aging.

Required for the development and maintenance of epithelial cells in the mucous membranes and skin and is important in the formation of bone and teeth, the storage of fat and protein synthesis and glycogen.

Vitamin A deficiency

A deficiency of vitamin A can lead to eye problems with dryness of the conjunctiva and cornea, dry skin and hair, night blindness and poor growth.

Dry itchy eyes that tire easily is usually a warning of too little vitamin A. If the deficiency becomes severe, corneal ulcers and can be permanent blindness can follow.

Abscesses forming in the ear, sinusitis, respiratory infections and common cold as well as disorders of the skin such as acne, boils and skin an uneven, as well as weight loss could be indicative of vitamin that was a source short.

Insomnia, fatigue, reproductive difficulties and may also be indicative of vitamin source short. Your hair and scalp can also become dry with a weakness, especially if the protein is also lacking.

The dosage underneath is the Recommended Dietary permission (RDA), but be aware that this dosage is the minimum that you require per day, to reject serious deficiency of this particular food. In the therapeutic use of this food, the dosage is usually increased considerably, but the level of toxicity must be considered.

Male 5000 IU per day (equivalent) 1,000 mg, females 4000 IU per day (equivalent to 800 mg of retinol), although 10,000 IU per day are normally used in supplementation.

Toxicity and symptoms of high product

Dosages that exceeded 15,000 IU per day should be taken under medical supervision. Toxicity may occur in some individuals at relatively low dosages and symptoms may include nausea, dizziness, menstrual problems, skin changes and dryness, the itchiness, irritability, vomiting, headaches and use of long term may cause pain of the loss of hair, bone and muscles, headache, liver damage, and increased concentrations of blood lipids.

Pregnant women should take care while a high product of this vitamin may cause birth defects.

Provitamin A – beta-carotene does not cause toxicity.

Be careful if you operate in the unlikely event through a menu refers polar – 500 grams (about ½ pound) of polar bear liver will deliver about 9,000,000 IU to your diet – a very lethal dose. Headaches, blurred vision, hair loss, drowsiness and diarrhea, enlargement of the spleen and liver could all be indications when your product is too high.
Best used with

Take vitamin A with the B-group vitamins, vitamins C, D and E, choline, essential fatty acids with calcium, phosphorus and zinc for the best results.
When more may be required

More of this vitamin is required when you consume alcohol in a low-fat diet or a diet high of polyunsaturated fatty acids, if you smoke or live in a contaminated area. It may also be indicated if you suffer from diabetes or a thyroid gland under-active. Beware of vitamin A in pregnancy.

Enemy of vitamin A

Retinol is destroyed by light, high temperatures and using copper or iron cookware. Vehicles and fruit rich beta carotene should not be soaked in water for long periods, since the food may be lost like that.
Other interesting points

There seems to be toxic to ingest quantities of beta carotene grand – you might however have a slightly orange skin, such as the carotene gets stored on your skin.
Food sources of vitamin A

The liver, milk, egg yolk, carrots, dark green leafy vehicles and yellow fruits are high in vitamin A or beta carotene.
